Our school day is divided in half – fifty per cent on general studies, and fifty per cent on Judaic studies.

Our total enrolment on all three campuses is 1,200 students.

Both our Kamin and Posluns branches offer extended care programs. For more information on these programs please see the Extended Care web page.

Your child must be three years old, or turning three by December 31. Also, children entering nursery school must be toilet trained.

Our Kamin Education Centre offers a pre-Nursery program for children as young as 18 months called Mini Mensch & Beyond (children attend independently).

In the early years, art is part of regular class activity and used as another way of to explore Shabbat and many of the holidays. Elementary school includes art classes twice a week with a professional art teacher and curriculum-based material is studied in-class. Starting in middle school, there is an integrated arts program as well as Glee Club, band and school plays and other popular activities.

In addition to an excellent physical education program, developing skills, learning to work as a team and exposure to competitive sports leagues is something that is a highlight for many students at Associated in elementary and middle school.
At the Danilack Middle School, intermural sports, additional school teams, ski trips and phys-ed field trips are integrated.

Associated students graduate are fully prepared for high schools of their choice including TanenbaumCHAT (Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto), Or Chaim, UlpanatOrot, public and other private high schools in the city.

Your child does not need to come from a Hebrew-speaking background in order to attend the early grades at Associated. Our Hebrew language curriculum is focused on communicative Hebrew. In pre-school, Hebrew is integrated into our program through songs, simple instructions and the celebration of holidays. We have also introduced Hebrew-immersion starting at the JK/SK level with great success. Once students enter the elementary school, Hebrew is taught in Ivritb’Ivrit (Hebrew language instruction for Judaic studies classes). By the time our students graduate they can communicate (listen, speak, read and write) comfortably in the Hebrew language.

Associated is committed to providing tuition support for families to ensure it remains financially accessible to the greatest possible number of families. Tution support is available for students in JK to grade 8. Should you require more information, please contact Ossy Goldenberg, Enrolment Manager, (416) 494-7666, ext. 300.

Every child learns differently and at his/her own pace. We have a thriving Centre for Diverse Learning to help accommodate those students who need enrichment or remedial support in certain subjects. Our Centre includes literacy and math specialists as well as learning skills coaches.
