The seven months of giving start now!
The number seven in Judaism is a significant one. We have seven days of the week, leading up to Shabbat, seven weeks from Pesach leading up to Shavuot, seven years leading up to the shemitah year when we let the land lie fallow, seven shemitah cycles until the special jubilee year. We also have seven months from now, the start of Adar, until the beginning of Tishrei, with its concentration of holidays and spirituality.
