Donor Stories: L‘Dor V’Dor
We are excited to share with you stories of the people who make up our school community. Grandparents play a significant role in helping to secure the future of Jewish education for our students. Read on to hear why grandparents, Esther and Sid Halpern continue to support Associated Hebrew Schools.
Dear My Friends,
Esther and I are Babie and Zaidie to Sophie (’20), Lily (’20) and Leo Halpern (’18). We wish to applaud and laud you and your entire staff for the outstanding role you undertake to instil in our grandchildren a love for learning, for Yiddishkeit for her teachers and fellow students.
To each of the staff in the school, a warm hug and handshake for developing such mature young adults whose future as responsible members of the Jewish and General community we can envision from the enthusiasm and maturity we can sense in their hearts and minds whenever we speak.
From my limited Yeshiva days I recall a Talmudic saying “Train a child when he/she is young and they will be mature adults.”
Sincerely,
Esther and Sid Halpern
